Time Duration: Applications are usually accepted in person from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are returned usually from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the same day but individual Embassy and Consulate timings may vary slightly.

Validity: Tourist visas are usually valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

Fee Structure: The cost for the visa is $60 for American citizens and can be more expensive if you wish to stay in India for longer than 6 months.
