Travel to India with MakeMyTripHaryana Tourism Corporation plans to set up health resorts on PPP format : Make My TripHaryana Tourism Corporation plans to set up health resorts in Kalesar of the Yamuna Nagar district and Malla near Pinjore in the Panchkula district. The properties will come up under the Public Private Participation (PPP) model. A meeting headed by the Chief Minister, Haryana will be held in Chandigarh to discuss the two projects' agendas. Speaking with Hospitality Biz, Keshni Anand Arora, Commissioner and Secretary - Tourism, Government of Haryana said that for the two health resorts, the state will invite private hotel companies for participation. After the agenda is discussed with Chief Minister of Haryana, land will be acquired for the properties. An Expression of Interest (EOI) or tenders will be invited as per criteria to be fixed by the corporation. "The initiative aims to boost Haryana's hospitality industry as per the State Tourism Policy 2008," confirms Arora. Kalesar has already been promoted as destination for adventure tourism. On the other hand place, Malla offers the scenic beauty of Himachal Pradesh with MakeMyTrip. According to Haryana's State Tourism Policy; for the hotel industry's promotion, Haryana Tourism Corporation will act as a State Government agent to implement proposed projects and lease or auction land. Haryana Tourism Corporation will gear up its industry's infrastructure to meet the demands of the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2010 (Delhi). The corporation aims to provide accommodation facilities of about 10, 000 rooms for tourist or visitors.
